Client Background & Problem

For 20 years, K&L Wine Merchants maintained their own back-office database, mobile, and web servers accessed by customers and staff across three retail stores and a central warehouse. As the business grew, they needed a long-term solution for higher performance across their entire infrastructure. While K&L had worked with Terrace for more than a decade on hundreds of software and back-office projects, they were hesitant about cloud migration — their sophisticated on-premises infrastructure, with power redundancy and servers, was working well, and they were concerned about being among the first to move.

What Terrace Did

Leveraging Terrace's extensive knowledge of K&L's infrastructure and its close connections to the Microsoft Azure team, Terrace partnered with K&L to design and implement a full infrastructure shift to Azure. This included migrating their customer e-commerce website, business intelligence systems, and multiple intranet management applications — all to the Azure Cloud. Terrace guided the transition with minimal disruption to operations.
